My wife, two (2) children, Zachary and Isabelle, and I are lifelong residents of Kosciusko County. I graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2000 and served in the U.S. Army Reserve for twelve (12) years, including a nine (9) month tour in Kuwait/Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003.
From 2005 to 2007, I worked as a Syracuse Police Reserve Officer and became a full time Officer in 2007. I attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and graduated in 2008. I worked full time for the Syracuse Police Department from 2007-2011 before coming to the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department where I work today. My career accomplishments include a promotion to Corporal in 2017, becoming a member of the Rescue and Recovery Dive Team, becoming a Certified Hostage Negotiator, being Certified as an ILEA (Indiana Law Enforcement Academy) Instructor for S.T.O.P.S. (Strategies and Tactics Patrol) and E.V.O. (Emergency Vehicle Operations), becoming a Certified Field Training Officer and a Former Kosciusko County Reserve Coordinator.
I was elected to be the President of the Tippecanoe Township Board in 2018 and remain in that capacity today. I previously served as the President of the North Webster-Tippecanoe Township Chamber of Commerce and formerly served as the President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #149. I served as the President of the Leesburg Lions Club from 2020 to 2021 and remain a member today. I am a former board member of the Warsaw Morning Breakfast Optimist Club and currently serve as its President. I am currently a member of the North Webster American Legion Post #253, Kosciusko County 4-H Swine Committee, Warsaw Community Church, and Clunette Methodist Church.
